Advance your career where Global Mobility drives strategic impact
In Global Employer Services, we support internationally mobile employees and executives as they work across borders. Our work ensures that individuals sent on assignments abroad, relocating to Switzerland, or working across multiple countries remain fully compliant with tax and social security regulations—both locally and internationally.
As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will focus on Swiss Individual Tax, working within a high-impact team to deliver comprehensive, tailored solutions that address the complex needs of our global clients. You will be entrusted with increased ownership and responsibility, leading client engagements, mentoring junior colleagues, and contributing to the development of innovative tax strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping client success and driving the growth of our practice.
Your responsibilities
- You will have the opportunity to take ownership from day one, to be involved in client-facing activities in the field of Swiss tax.
- You will be the primary driver of a client engagement team, steering tax compliance delivery, managing engagement finances, and providing regular outcome and risk reports to the manager to ensure client‑centric and efficient execution. You will also integrate, mentor and develop junior team members.
- You will lead and manage Swiss and international tax compliance projects, including review of Swiss tax declarations and analyze complex international tax and social security positions.
- You will review advice tailored to each client, supported by thorough research and up-to-date knowledge of Swiss and international tax laws.
- You will further develop specific knowledge in Swiss national and international tax. Combine your strengths with the know-how of our experienced teams to unlock your full professional and personal potential, supporting clients across a broad spectrum of tax and social security topics.
- You will have the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge to challenging cases and assist in delivering presentations to clients and colleagues.
- You will lead complex tax consulting briefings with clients on intricate cross‑border assignments, providing clear, practical advice on Swiss tax and social‑security implications. You will build and maintain client relationships as the primary point of contact, coordinate with international teams on multi‑jurisdictional matters.
What you bring
- Strong technical knowledge of Swiss national tax laws and international tax principles, including social security regulations related to cross-border mobility.
- Curiosity, proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and drive projects forward independently.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Great analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with tax software and digital tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment and fast-paced environment
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, business, economics, finance or similar
- 3–5 years' experience in individual taxation (German: Natürliche Personen) and social security law, gained in a trust/fiduciary practice, tax authority, social security administration or consulting firm.
- Preferred experience (non‑mandatory): Experience in global mobility, expatriate or international tax advisory, including cross‑border work for multinational clients.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Fluent in German and English
- MS Office proficiency
