Contribute to Switzerland's electricity supply
In this exciting position, you will be responsible for purchasing planning and engineering services and will represent this topic within the procurement department and all Swissgrid departments. As the purchasing manager, you will be responsible for your product groups and ensure close coordination with internal stakeholders to achieve the jointly defined strategic and operational objectives. In addition, your work will include:
- Participating as a team in Category Management for planning and engineering services – from strategic orientation to operational implementation
- Planning, coordinating, and supporting purchases in French and German in the field of planning and engineering services – in accordance with public procurement law (LMP/OIMP) and Swissgrid's internal guidelines
- Working closely with project managers – reviewing and optimizing requirements together and ensuring a procurement strategy compatible with project deadlines, adapted to the market, and corresponding to the required quality
- Analyzing and monitoring markets – identifying opportunities, risks, and trends to sustainably ensure supply security and proper use of allocated budgets
- Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies – in close collaboration with our specialists and taking into account market and sector developments
- Managing and optimizing the supplier portfolio – evaluating performance, risks, and market developments to guarantee quality, deadlines, and long-term costs
- Being responsible for Claim Management – in close collaboration with the legal department and all relevant stakeholders
- Participating in the design and development of contract management
- Actively contributing to the evolution of the Procurement & Claim Management department – for example, by initiating or leading development projects focused on resilience, profitability, and digitization

You approach conflicts constructively and set priorities in the interest of projects and the company. In addition, you will bring the following strengths:
- Commercial or technical education at ES, HES, or university level – ideally complemented by further training or experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or project management
- Experience in purchasing, ideally in the public sector – including contract drafting – or equivalent experience in a similar environment
- Confident attitude, stress resistance, and good communication skills. Persuasiveness and assertiveness are among your strengths
- Experience in developing purchasing strategies and knowledge of Swiss public procurement law (LMP/OIMP) desired; knowledge in supplier management is a plus
- Experience with clients in the public infrastructure sector or knowledge of SIA standards is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and ability to quickly learn new systems such as SAP
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written, is essential. Good command of German; English or Italian is an asset
