Job Description
As a Plant Engineer, you take on the exciting challenge of bringing our state-of-the-art production facilities and infrastructures at the Kreuzlingen site to peak performance. In this key role, you ensure the smooth production of our pressure-sensitive adhesives and actively contribute to the success of our plant through your expertise in daily operations as well as project work. You approach process engineering issues with skill and collaborate across teams to shape the future of our production.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you work directly on-site at the plant and take on a diverse range of tasks:
- Ensuring operational readiness: Responsibility for the technical availability and efficiency of production equipment as well as infrastructure.
- Maintenance & servicing: Planning and execution of preventive measures to minimize downtime, also in cooperation with plant maintenance.
- Project management & optimization: Independent management of investment projects from specifications through profitability analysis to controlling.
- Technical concepts: Development of innovative solutions to improve safety, productivity, quality, and costs in close cooperation with suppliers and internal departments.
- Process control: Operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement and expansion of our process control system (DeltaV).
- Interface function: Coordination of external service providers as well as supervision of installation and assembly work.
- On-call duty: Participation in on-call/standby service to ensure operational security.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you bring the following:
- Education: Completed studies in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Professional experience: Solid experience in plant/process engineering or plant maintenance, ideally in a chemical production environment.
- Know-how: A strong safety awareness (explosion protection advantageous) as well as ideally knowledge of industrial control systems (DeltaV) and associated sensor technology.
- Methodological competence: Practical experience with lean tools, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement processes (CIP).
- Language skills: Business fluent German and good English skills for collaboration in an international environment.
- Personality: Creativity, innovative spirit, and entrepreneurial thinking combined with a structured and independent working style.
