About the job
The Fairmont Monte Carlo is a luxury hotel located in the heart of the Principality of Monaco. It features 596 rooms, suites, and residences as well as four restaurants, three bars, a Fitness Center, a Spa, two swimming pools, Room Service, and a Catering service.
Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to, mastering the role of Day and Night Hall Supervisor as well as:
- Consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Expertly mastering various electronic tools and platforms (e.g., Opera, Duve, ACDC, Unifocus, In-Gauge, Peek-in, etc.)
- Organizing the day’s work and regularly monitoring rooms pending on Opera to streamline daily arrivals and coordinate communication with the concerned guests
- Monitoring daily departures
- Centralizing contact with the Housekeeping department to consolidate requests and become the sole point of reference
- Being the reference for Day and Night Hall Supervisors for any back office assistance requests
- Supervising the smooth running of the day and the proper application of instructions (departures, arrivals, VIP lists, guest reception, credit limit monitoring, FO/HK disputes)
- Organizing and anticipating the receptionists’ schedules according to hotel activity
- Ensuring good coordination between departments (housekeeping, room service, sales)
- Providing support to the 1st Brigade Chief such as assigning rooms for upcoming days and monitoring occupancy
- Ensuring compliance with Fairmont standards
- Adhering to department policies, procedures, and service standards
- Complying with all safety policies
- Other tasks as assigned
- The position is essential during the core of the day and would be exclusively on a middle shift to ensure effective monitoring of daily activity.
- The person must also be able to perform all front desk tasks when necessary
- Limited to two Heartists, they cannot be off simultaneously to cover weekly needs.
- Previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel establishment
- Proficiency in English and Italian
- Leadership spirit to unite and motivate teams
- Sense of responsibility, ability to delegate, and manage sometimes delicate situations
- Ability to anticipate the expectations of guests and the team
- Autonomous
- Proficiency in Opera Cloud software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent professional appearance required
