Sanitary Installer for the Construction Directorate
The Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate of the CHUV is looking for a motivated Sanitary Installer for missions with high added value for patients and care teams, with an activity rate between 80% and 100%, to strengthen its sanitary team. The starting date is scheduled for December 1, 2025, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate of the CHUV (CIT-S) has as its main activities the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance, and consulting within its extensive real estate portfolio of more than 40 buildings on the main hospital site.
The 3 main missions of the Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate (CIT-S):
- Construction and modernization: ensure the study and realization of architectural projects, as well as the renovation of technical installations.
- Operation: ensure the maintenance of all technical and biomedical equipment, as well as the infrastructures of the CHUV and its affiliates. Guarantee the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for all medical, research, technical, and administrative activities.
- Protection and safety: ensure the protection of property and people.

Our missions are rich and varied: maintenance of sanitary installations, management of two therapeutic pools, filling of medical oxygen bottles, monitoring the production of ultrapure water for dialysis, water treatment for laboratories, and management of medical and laboratory gas networks.
You will work within a close-knit team, benefiting from continuous internal training, with a spirit of service and technical excellence.
More specifically, your tasks will include:
- Being responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of sanitary installations
- Handling water treatment, medical gases, and laboratory gases
- Ensuring project follow-up in the sanitary field
- Participating in the multi-technical on-call rotation
- Participating in the workshop on-call rotation.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a Sanitary Installer or an equivalent recognized qualification
- You have experience in the operation and maintenance of sanitary installations, as well as in water treatment, medical gases, and laboratory gases
- You have a sense of responsibility to perform interventions in sensitive areas, regarding the safety of people or property
- You master common computer tools
- You have a good knowledge of the French language, spoken and written (minimum certified B2)
- Your place of residence is within 45 minutes of the workplace (required due to on-call and standby services, generally 5 each per year)
- You hold a category B driving license.
Depending on your profile, the salary class will be between levels 5 and 6.
