Freelance Attending Midwife at the Zollikerberg Birth Center
Do you enjoy independent midwifery work and want to promote natural childbirth?
At the Zollikerberg Birth Center, freelance midwives accompany women and their families holistically and independently during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period in an out-of-hospital setting.
What does your workday with us look like?
As a freelance midwife, you accompany expectant parents during pregnancy, childbirth at the birth center, and the postpartum period. In the small midwife team, you shape the work model individually with your colleagues. You independently lead the birth process of your clients at the birth center. A second midwife from the team always comes to support during the birth. In the first two days postpartum, the family is cared for at the birth center and, if possible, you continue to support the families at home.
What can you expect from us?
In the family-like midwife team, we support each other and can learn from one another. Depending on the work model, you can benefit from on-call free times and determine your own workload. Thanks to generous birth flat rates, attractive salary conditions have been created. You have the opportunity to offer your own courses or therapies at the Zollikerberg Birth Center.
Internal quality circles: We regularly conduct internal quality circles, which are carried out according to the "Characteristics of Quality Circles" and the "Forum for Quality Circles" of the Swiss Midwives Association (SHV). Usually, 2 labeled E-log points can be earned per quality circle. Furthermore, regular training sessions take place.
What do you bring with you?
You are a certified midwife or midwife BSc.
You have at least two years of professional experience in obstetrics, ideally in an out-of-hospital setting.
You have a ZSR number or have the possibility to obtain one.
You enjoy working in a team and take pleasure in independent midwifery work.
