The Department of Civil Engineering of the Canton of St. Gallen employs around 300 employees. Together, we plan, build, and maintain our cantonal roads so that future generations can rely on a good transport infrastructure and remain mobile.
The Mobility and Planning Department deals with strategic planning, preliminary studies in the field of transport, and noise protection on cantonal roads. It addresses the disciplines of traffic planning and traffic engineering and manages the specialist areas of pedestrian and bicycle traffic as well as emissions.
To complement our team, we are looking for a
Project Management Noise Protection (m/f/d)
Workload: 60-100%
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- Management of road noise remediation projects in various regions of the Canton of St. Gallen
- Implementation of noise protection measures on cantonal roads
- Support and further development of the cantonal noise pollution register
- Representation of the interests of the Department of Civil Engineering in building applications, objections to road construction projects, and appeals of municipal road projects
- Coordination with other departments, offices, and municipalities, as well as consulting in the area of noise
- Processing of political matters
- Management of external contractors and ensuring compliance with cantonal regulations
What distinguishes you
- Completed studies as a traffic planner, spatial planner, or civil/environmental engineer (FH or ETH) or equivalent education
- Experience in the field of noise protection is essential, knowledge in spatial planning and geoinformation topics is an advantage
- Flair and interest in working within a political environment
- Independent, precise, and reliable working style
- High social and communication skills, negotiation skills, and assertiveness
- Very good written and spoken expression in German
