Psychologist or Social Worker Mobile Intervention in Youth Crises AJB 80%
Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
On behalf of the government council, the AJB offers consultations for children and adolescents between 10 and 18 years old in acute crises in a initially limited project until the end of 2030. The service supports young people and their families quickly, easily accessible, and on short notice to find sustainable and viable solutions. This closes existing gaps in the service landscape and relieves already existing offers.
As a psychologist or social worker, you advise young people in acute psychosocial crises and their families on short notice. You work in a networked manner and in close cooperation with professionals from social work, psychology, schools, and child and adolescent psychiatry in the Canton of Zurich. We are looking for reinforcement for the team immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Advising young people in acute psychosocial crises and their families in various settings (internally, at the families' homes, etc.)
- Independent case management as well as organizing suitable follow-up solutions if further support is needed
- Networking and cooperation with professionals and services in the field of child and youth welfare in the Canton of Zurich
- Participation in the development of professional foundations
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Psychology (FH or University) or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- Further training in systemic and/or solution-oriented counseling
- Experience in the field of child and youth welfare
- Networked thinking and acting, high independence, and enjoyment in taking responsibility
- Openness and enjoyment of teamwork
We offer you
- A challenging position with creative freedom
- The opportunity to work independently and contribute to the further development of a service
- Cantonal employment conditions
- Office space in a central location with the possibility of home office
We look forward to receiving your complete online application. Applications from employment agencies as well as applications via e-mail will not be considered for this vacancy.
If you have any questions, Sila Schwegler, Head of Mobile Intervention in Youth Crises (Phone: 043 259 97 87), will be happy to assist you. Additional information can be found on the internet at Mobile Intervention in Youth Crises | Canton of Zurich (zh.ch).
