- We assist with simple as well as complex (subject) searches and teach information literacy

The Center for Historical Collections (ZHB) is the department responsible for the cataloging, preservation, retrodigitization, and mediation of old prints, historical maps, and special collections of the University Library Bern (UB Bern).
We are a team of 3 people working in the "Digicenter" for the digitization of historical works.
What to expect
- You digitize collections and individual works for the platform e-rara.ch and process orders for eBooks on Demand (EOD) and Document Delivery (DocDel)
- You participate in projects of the Retrodigitization service, such as inventory, processing of defect lists, quality assurance, etc.
What you bring
- Quality-conscious, independent, and focused working style
- Communication skills, openness to innovation, and willingness to contribute ideas for quality assurance
- Responsible handling of cultural assets
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Teams
- Basic knowledge of image editing (Adobe Photoshop and Bridge)
- Experience in reprography (book scanner) is an advantage
- Enrollment at a Swiss university during the employment period
