The department Informatics Vocational Schools Thurgau (ICT BFS) provides ICT services for the seven vocational schools in the areas of basic education, continuing education, and higher professional education (HF). Your tasks
- Receiving, processing, and completing or possibly forwarding technical and professional fault reports (Incident and Problem Management as well as Request Fulfillment) in the ICT area
- Answering questions and initiating possible temporary workaround solutions
- Recording, classifying, and supplementing all fault information
- Providing, configuring, coordinating installation planning, installing, and maintaining new and existing HW and SW systems
- Support and configuration of peripheral, display, and multimedia devices
- Moving and expanding workstation systems
- Creating and updating operating manuals, instructions, and checklists
- Maintaining the technical inventory
Your profile
Education
- Completed vocational training in computer science or other vocational training with corresponding further education/practice in the technical field (ICT specialist, business informatics specialist, or PC LAN support certificate, etc.)
- Languages: German spoken and written, basic knowledge of English
- Further training in support and ITIL is an advantage
- Driver's license category B
Practical experience
- Experience in service desk and first-level support
- Broad and solid technical understanding in the area of client infrastructure
- Practical experience with common operating systems and standard applications
- Practical experience with ITSM tools and the associated ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
- Very good technical, logical understanding, team player, and open to challenges
