The Monastery of Dornach, once the seat of the Capuchin monks in Dorneck, was a religious and pastoral center of Northwestern Switzerland for almost 350 years. Today, it is a cultural meeting place for the residents of the Basel region. The historic buildings combine a hotel, a restaurant with a large monastery garden, and the monastery church, where services and concerts regularly take place. The restaurant has an à la carte restaurant with around 50 seats, as well as several banquet and seminar rooms for 15 to 80 guests. In addition, there is a garden restaurant with 120 seats in the summer. The culinary signature of the chef is inspired by traditional French cuisine, which he harmoniously combines with Mediterranean and classical influences. Guests can experience the hotel in the special ambiance of 30 former monastery cells. Gastronomy and hospitality, along with an attractive cultural program, social engagement, and an active church, are one of the four pillars of the Monastery Dornach Foundation.

Your tasks
Planning:
- Leadership and motivation of the service team
- Training and further development of service staff
- Ensuring impeccable guest service and high guest satisfaction
- Monitoring compliance with service standards
- Staff scheduling for service personnel
- Coordination of banquet running sheets
- Coordination between service, kitchen, and other departments
- Complaint management and professional handling of guest complaints
- Control and management of service inventory
- Material ordering and storage
- Compliance with hygiene and safety regulations
- Participation in the planning and execution of special events
Daily Business:
- Purchasing F & B, control of goods deliveries, delivery note and invoice control
- Service support
- Stock monitoring
- Ordering of non-food service consumables
- High presence times at the front & Active selling
- Control of employee deployments
Your profile:
- Completed training in service
- Leadership experience
- High guest orientation
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational talent
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
