The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 employees. The Rennaz Hospital Center, inaugurated at the end of 2019, has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. The On-Call Service and the Orthopedics Service are strengthening their teams in Monthey and Vevey to support their rapidly expanding activity. We are looking for a:
Medical Assistant M/F 100% (or two partial percentages)
(Weekend and public holiday work)
The main tasks of this position are
- Welcome, install and guide patients coming for consultation according to the reason and urgency level in collaboration with the triage nurse
- Perform delegated diagnostic and therapeutic medical acts within the legal competencies of the medical assistant profession
- Carry out administrative tasks such as administrative admissions, filling out the patient file, billing acts, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls
- Manage activity, patient flow, and service logistics in collaboration with all team members
- Assist the doctor during patient care (MEOPA®, sutures, abscess incisions...)
- Perform laboratory tests prescribed under delegation protocol
- Perform radiology exams prescribed under delegation protocol
We require
- A Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as medical assistant or an equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in radiography
- A diploma in extended radiology is desired
- A trainer certification is an asset
- BLS certification desired
- Minimum 2 years experience in an outpatient center or group practice
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Analytical skills and priority management
- Professional rigor
- Good interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the hospital field is desirable
- Knowledge of Opale and SOARIAN software is an asset
- Flexibility (occasional travel to the second site)
