Job Description
The Head Sommelier is responsible for managing the entire wine and spirits offer of the hotel, including the restaurants, room service, and events.
He develops and updates the wine list, ensuring its coherence with the culinary identity of our restaurants and contributes to the customer experience by proposing suitable food and wine pairings.
In the dining room, the Head Sommelier actively participates in service, not only for wine but also in the overall table service support.
He manages orders, supplier relations, and stocks, respecting the defined budget.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sommelier in a high-end establishment
- Excellent knowledge of wines and spirits, with a particular interest in Swiss and European vineyards
- Mastery of service techniques and a keen sense of hospitality and customer advice
- Skills in stock management, margin tracking, and supplier negotiation
- Ability to work closely with dining room and kitchen teams
- Good organizational skills and sense of responsibility
- Fluency in French and English
