We are an internationally renowned company headquartered in Cressier near Neuchatel.
We design, develop, and produce centrifugal pumps and control valves which we deliver to demanding industries, chemical sectors, and in the wastewater field.
To strengthen our production department, Emile Egger & Cie SA based in Cressier is looking for a:
Machining Department Manager - 100%
Under the responsibility of the production manager, you will be in charge of ensuring the production of machined parts respecting deadlines, costs, and quality. Skilled in team management, you will be expected to develop your collaborators throughout their careers in line with the company's objectives.
Responsibilities e Management of the production plan, priorities based on production contingencies in close collaboration with the planning team
Monitoring department performance (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity)
Ensuring robust versatility both human and on the machine park
Managing machining and design problems
Supervising the department staff
Optimizing machining times of the department and improving department performance
Collaborating with other departments to deliver according to our customers' requirements
Developing team members within the team but also with other production teams
Profile and skills
Technical skills e Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as precision mechanic or polymechanic
Good knowledge of machining methodology, conventional and CNC machines.
Knowledge in small series machining
Knowledge in large part machining
Knowledge of foundry parts (a real asset)
Personal skills e Experience managing a team of about twenty people in a similar environment e Good communicator and unifier e Hands-on person e Decision-making ability
Additional skills e Knowledge of CAD/CAM programs ideally "Esprit" and PC-machine transmission e Manufacturing of templates for simple applications e Experience in training on different department positions
