Youth Pastor / Youth Officer

We are a committed team of volunteers who care deeply about a living relationship with Jesus and the desire to pass on God’s love to young people. We want to create a space where they can get to know God more deeply. We are diverse, creative, young, and support each other. We welcome new ideas. With us, you don’t work alone but closely with the congregations, volunteers, and our team assistance.

Your Area of Responsibility

• Support and advice for our parishes in establishing and continuing continuously operating youth groups
• Accompaniment and training of volunteers (especially volunteer training MiAu)
• (Supportive) organization of leisure activities and events
• Leadership of a summer camp and a camp for young adults
• Leadership of the two supraregional confirmation camps
• Leadership of the biennial confirmation event
• Committee and network work
• Public relations and executive office tasks

What You Should Bring

• A completed theological degree and ordination to the pastoral office (Youth Pastor) or a completed theological-pedagogical training (Youth Officer)
• A heart for children, adolescents, and young adults and joy in accompanying them in their faith and life questions
• Outgoing personality and openness to diverse ways of thinking and believing
• Teamwork skills, creativity, and flexibility
• Competencies in project management
• Driver’s license, class B
• Nice to have: skillful use of digital media, especially social media
