The Ingenbohl Monastery, headquarters of an international community of sisters, is a lively place of encounter. The monastery gastronomy team takes care daily with great commitment of the well-being of 230 nuns as well as guests on the monastery hill. To strengthen our team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a responsible, independent, and motivated personality as:
Team Leader Gastronomy Monastery 80 – 100%
You are responsible for the catering service in the refectories, actively participate, and lead a team of around 16 employees as a role model. At internal and external events, you convince as an attentive host personality and are valued as a committed team player in cross-departmental projects.
Area of responsibility:
- Responsibility for the gastronomy area of the monastery (refectories, internal and external events)
- Personnel management as well as targeted promotion of employees
- Conducting team meetings and employee discussions
- Employee planning of daily tasks and events, organization of additional tasks
- Execution and monitoring of the internal ordering system using NAVISION
- Responsibility for the management of cosmetics and housekeeping storage
- Preparation and execution of internal and external events
- Guest care (guests of the sisters, external guests in the guest refectory, events)
- Active participation in the area of responsibility (60%) as well as office work (40%)
Expectations:
- Completed basic training as a hotel and housekeeping specialist EFZ
- Further training with a federal specialist certificate is an advantage
- Several years of leadership experience, assertiveness with appreciative leadership style
- Sound knowledge in food service and age-appropriate nutrition
- High service orientation (help shape and support the monastery hill as a place of encounter)
- Good IT user skills and willingness to familiarize yourself with our systems (MS Office, Polypoint, Navision) Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work weekends
- Enjoyment of working with people and teamwork
- Service-oriented, competent, and well-groomed appearance, target group-appropriate communication
