Canton of Schaffhausen. More than 480 children and adolescents with physical and/or cognitive impairments, with speech, hearing or other profound
developmental disabilities are currently taught and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at four locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy offers, we run a school-complementary area with lunch,
day structure and boarding school. Over 570 employees are committed in various functions at the SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS.
For the school year 2025/26 we are looking for a speech therapist for our integrative special education
with a workload of 25-60%.
You will provide therapy to students who are taught as integrative special students in regular schools in the canton
of Schaffhausen and work constructively and goal-oriented with the other persons involved in the education of the respective integratively taught child or adolescent (teachers,
special education teachers and assistant staff) as well as the parents.
Your specialist tasks include planning, conducting and evaluating the
therapy lessons. You mainly work in one-on-one situations. Writing reports is also part of your duties.
The scope of employment depends on the needs of the integrative special students in the various school buildings and the number of children and adolescents taken over.
Persons qualified as speech therapists with a foreign diploma can be employed on a temporary basis until the EDK recognition is obtained. An EDK-recognized speech therapy training is
a prerequisite for permanent employment in the canton of Schaffhausen.
Our employment conditions are based on the cantonal personnel law.
