The Diagnostic Department , composed of eight medical services, is tasked with providing diagnoses, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialized clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the best timeframes and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.
The Radiology Service has as its main mission the performance of diagnostic radiology exams and therapeutic interventions guided by various imaging techniques. This clinical activity includes approximately 220,000 exams and 5,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per year, a significant portion of which is provided on a 24/7 basis. The medical team of the Radiology Service also organizes more than 300 multidisciplinary meetings per month, on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
Job Description
As part of your mission, under the medical responsibility of the radiologist, you assume the overall and adapted care of patients for the performance of diagnostic exams and treatments. You ensure their safety, that of accompanying persons, as well as all involved staff. You guarantee the quality of results and procedures chosen in performing diagnostic and therapeutic acts and master technological means according to the progress of your professional career.
You also take charge of coordinating, organizing, and managing radiological procedures by mobilizing human and technical resources, and you assist the radiologist during diagnostic or therapeutic acts. You provide supervision and clinical teaching that is evolving and adapted to different types of learners and keep your own knowledge up to date.
Finally, you participate in development and research, contribute to improving procedures and working methods, as well as to the development of the profession.
Qualifications
You hold a HES-SO Bachelor degree as a medical radiology technician or an equivalent qualification. If your diploma comes from a foreign country, you have obtained recognition from the Swiss Red Cross and your diploma is registered in the National Health Professions Register (NaReg).
A team spirit, cooperation, and initiative are necessary to succeed in this mission, as well as good stress management.
