What you can look forward to.

As a track construction machinery assistant, you are responsible for preparing the work for grinding, milling and tamping operations in track construction. You can also do this from the home office by arrangement. During this shift, you take on the role of work supervisor and safety officer and ensure a smooth, safe execution of the work. What you can achieve.

• You independently prepare the work on site and accompany track construction machinery during grinding and milling campaigns as well as tamping work.
• You take on the function of work supervisor and safety officer on site.
• As a shunting assistant Ai, you apply for shunting routes with train traffic control and coordinate shunting movements with the machine operators.
• You mainly operate in your assigned area Brugg – but also support colleagues in the Basel, Bern, Lucerne and Olten areas if needed.
• The preparation of daily reports on work and machine hours is carried out according to our guidelines.

What you bring with you.

• You work reliably and independently and keep a clear overview even in demanding situations.
• Shift work (24/7) is no problem for you – including night and weekend shifts. The deployment planning is done at least four weeks in advance.
• Your completed vocational training EFZ in transport route construction or a similar field lays the foundation. In addition, you must have practical experience in track construction.
• You have already completed the training as a shunting assistant Ai or are willing to complete it.
• If suitable, you are also willing to complete the training as a safety officer RTE 20100.
• Your German skills are at least at level B2 (oral and written) and you hold a category B driving licence.
