At the Zurich West Prison (GZW), we are at the service of the population 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. Our tasks and challenges are diverse, but we master them together as a team. To complement the health service, we are looking for you to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your Tasks

• You are the professional and thus responsible for initial intervention in medical and psychiatric emergencies, admission assessments, and the basic medical care of incarcerated individuals.
• You support the doctor's rounds and maintain active contact with various external agencies.
• You are ready to give your all in a 24/7 shift operation.
• You work closely with our supervisors/caregivers and train them for emergencies.
• You are eager to dive into the prison world and interact with people from different cultures.

Your Profile

• You are a qualified nursing specialist (DN II or HF) and ready for a new challenge.
• With your experience and knowledge in acute care, in a psychiatry, or in an emergency department, you complement our team.
• You are a team player and stand out with your hands-on mentality.
• In addition to German, you speak another language advantageously.
• «Lifelong learning» is not an unfamiliar term for you, and you are motivated to further your education in somatic/psychiatric nursing.
• There are a few small hurdles: You must be at least 25 years old and have a clean record.
