What you will do here
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of research, development, and service projects in the field of forestry process engineering
- Actively participate in the conception and application of research projects together with the department management
- Contribute to teaching at the Bachelor and Master levels, especially in the area of forestry work procedures and technical systems
- Prepare scientific contributions, reports, and presentations
- You are a good fit for this position if you have a clear connection to forestry practice, are curious and passionate about research, and like to get to the bottom of things; communicate confidently – with people from practice as well as with partners from administration, research, and politics – and are open to new technologies and innovative approaches – and eager to actively help shape their potential for forestry process engineering
What you ideally bring with you
- Completed Master’s degree (MSc) in Forestry, Forest Engineering, or a closely related technical field with relevance to forestry process engineering
- Experience in acquiring and implementing scientific projects
- Knowledge or willingness to learn spatial analyses, statistical evaluations, and data management
- Practical experience in forestry field surveying or technology, as well as interest in new technologies
- Native German or French speaker with good knowledge of the other national language, as well as good English skills
