Social Deacon with Focus on Adults (50%) in Job Sharing
The Church District Ten belongs to the Zurich Church Community and includes the districts of Höngg, Oberengstringen, and Wipkingen West. To support our committed diaconal team, we are looking for you as of June 1, 2026
Your Tasks
- Continuation of existing adult offerings in Church District Ten (e.g., Die Herbstzeitlosen, Café littéraire, holiday week, Restaurant Tour 60+)
- Continue and further develop intergenerational diaconal projects (e.g., Höngger Bazar, ecumenical offerings such as women's brunch with cinema, Christmas parcel campaign)
- Support and accompaniment of volunteers and community members
- Administrative and coordination tasks in the field of social diaconia
- Close cooperation with various professional groups within the church district as well as building and maintaining networks and partnerships in the social area
Your Profile
- Completed training in social diaconia or in sociocultural animation, social work (FH), or community animation (HF)
- Experience in community work/social counseling as well as in independent planning and organization of projects and offerings
- Initiative and communicative personality with pronounced social skills
- Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings or weekends
- Good Microsoft Office application skills
- Team-oriented and initiative personality with Christian core values
