About the job
The approximately 27,000 inhabitants of the city of Rapperswil-Jona live in various neighborhoods inside and outside the city. Since January 2019, several specialized offices of the city have been operating a joint neighborhood work within the framework of the Quartierinsel. The Quartierinsel consists of five mobile containers, which are set up twice a year in an urban neighborhood and used by the population as well as by specialized offices for meetings, exchange, information, and networking.
For the management and coordination of the autumn location 2026, we are looking for:
- Cooperation with the steering group for the implementation of the location
- Contact with the neighborhood population, coordination and planning of the various uses
- Support of the appropriation process in the neighborhood
- Communication of ongoing offers in cooperation with the city
- Presence during the opening hours of the Quartierinsel in the neighborhoods
- Ensuring supply and disposal during the operating period
- Maintenance of materials and equipment in the containers
- Planning and supervision of the assembly and disassembly of the containers in cooperation with the city’s public works department
- Participation in meetings, updating statistics and forms
- Recognized degree in sociocultural animation or social work (FH or HF) or comparable training or experience in socioculture
- Craftsmanship skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours (evenings and weekends)
- Independent working style and initiative
