At HPZH, we support students with disabilities in small, mixed-age classes, from cycle 1 to cycle 3. As head of department, you actively shape the school day and set impulses for a future in which individual learning and therapy go hand in hand.
Your tasks
- As head of department, you are responsible for cycles 1 + 2 or cycle 3 in our special school for children and adolescents with cognitive impairments. In close cooperation with the area management and the other heads of department for language development, you lay the foundations for the educational development of our students.
- Organizationally, the threads come together with you: you plan the assignments and workloads of your team, make class assignments, review educational and support plans, implement internal training, and thus ensure a smooth school day.
- You lead your team of teachers, special education teachers, classroom assistants, and interns both professionally and personally with empathy and promote their individual development.
- You promote interdisciplinary collaboration between teaching, therapy, and social pedagogy and provide advice and support to your team in everyday school life.
Your profile
- You have a completed pedagogical education (teaching diploma or master's degree in school special education). Ideally, you already have further training in school management (CAS, DAS) or are willing to complete it.
- You have already gained solid professional and initial leadership experience in the special education environment.
- You are an organizational talent with good IT skills, characterized by high social competence and communication strength.
- Our interdisciplinary team looks forward to your participative leadership style and your positive mindset.
