Presentation
We are looking for a motivated and reliable
Student Assistant
to support teaching and research within the team of Prof. Martin Müller (Équipe M3). Teaching support activities will be related to courses by Prof. Martin Müller in the Bachelor specialisation in Geography, Environment and Societies and the Master degree in Geography, Environment and Planning. Research assistance will mostly be for the Culture for the Planet research-for-action project. This project brings together researchers, arts and cultural organisations, funders and policymakers to embed sustainability into cultural governance and everyday organisational practice. The Student Assistant will support project-based activities in the areas of Strategy and Development and Dissemination and Communication.

Workload: 40% (working hours to be discussed)

Key Tasks
• Assist with tasks, such as website optimisation, preparing contact lists and structuring mailing tools, or supporting system set-up activities;
• Support the preparation of monitoring tables, dashboards, and reporting templates. Update and optimise database design (contacts, organisations, events);
• Support benchmarking and comparison exercises (e.g. compilation of comparable and desirable initiatives, tools, communication practices);
• Support the organisation and structuring of communication material (slides, documents, images, media files, naming conventions);
• Accompany the delivery of lectures and courses, providing logistical and organisational support.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a student who is very well organised, reliable and comfortable working in an international environment.
• Very good command of English (reading and writing);
• Careful, systematic and ability to work independently;
• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines;
• Familiarity with basic digital tools (spreadsheets, shared folders, simple CMS);
• Interest in geography, sustainability and the arts and cultural sector;
• Be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Lausanne (UNIL).
