As Head of Finance & Controlling, you take on a central leadership role in a matrix-organized corporate structure and report directly to the Managing Director of HACO Shared Services. In this position, you not only lead the central finance department but also coordinate the controlling functions within the individual business units Culinary Dry, Coffee, and Snacks in Switzerland. The controllers act as business partners in close coordination with the respective business unit managers. Additionally, you bear the overall financial responsibility for the Shared Services area, which operates across business units.
Responsibilities
Your responsibility – strategic, integrative, future-oriented
Leadership & Matrix Coordination
- Leading a central finance team.
- Managing and coordinating controllers in the business units Culinary Dry, Coffee, and Snacks.
- Promoting collaboration within the matrix structure and establishing uniform standards and tools in controlling (e.g., cost center price calculation).
- Responsibility for the continuous digitization, optimization, and strategic further development of financial processes.
Shared Services Switzerland & Financial Management
- Overall financial responsibility for Shared Services functions in all business units.
- Responsibility for financial and operational accounting according to Swiss GAAP FER and internal group standards.
- Managing sales, payment, and delivery terms of the business units in accordance with company policies.
- Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Leading treasury management including tax planning, liquidity management, and insurance.
- Ensuring legal compliance (e.g., VAT, internal control system, audits) and coordinating legal and regulatory matters in the finance area.
Collaboration on HACO Group Matters
- Active support of the CFO of the HACO Group (group treasury management, risk management, and other selected projects).
Controlling & Business Partnering
- Consolidation of financial planning for all business units into mid-range planning and budgeting.
- Deriving financial targets from business unit strategies.
- Further development of controlling instruments to manage production, sales, and standard costs.
- Conducting profitability analyses, break-even, contribution margin, and cost structure analyses.
- Optimizing profitability through active management and periodic target-actual analyses.
- Maintaining SAP-based value flows and systems.
Requirements
Your profile – networked thinking, strong leadership, entrepreneurial
- Completed studies in business administration, finance & controlling.
- Several years of leadership and professional experience in financial accounting, controlling, and reporting – ideally in a matrix-organized food or consumer goods industry.
- Solid experience with SAP (FI/CO) and digitization tools.
- High communication skills with leadership at eye level towards business unit managers, operations, HR, sales, corporate development, and central functions.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, assertiveness, and ability for integrative collaboration.
