Geoinformation connects space, data and the digital future. The service group Geoinformation and Surveying is the city’s centre of expertise for geodata, GIS, 3D and official surveying. Together with your team, you develop modern solutions and actively shape the digital advancement of the city’s geoinformation. As a city surveyor, you lead the service group and manage the official surveying as well as the construction and specialised surveying of the city of Uster.

We are looking for a

Head of Service Group Geoinformation and Surveying / City Surveyor 80 - 100%

Your main tasks

• Strategic and operational management of the service group Geoinformation and Surveying
• Professional and personnel leadership as well as further development of the employees of the service group
• Ensuring official surveying, construction and engineering surveying
• Active participation in the digital advancement in the areas of geoinformation, BIM and 3D
• Coordination of the removal of field paths according to agricultural law
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary working groups and representation in specialist committees and networks

Your profile

• Completed university degree (Master’s) in geomatics or an equivalent qualification
• Licence as a chartered surveyor or willingness to obtain it
• Sound knowledge of the processes of official surveying
• Knowledge of surveying systems, ideally Autodesk Geobox products or comparable solutions
• Experience in geoinformation and GIS
• Leadership experience as well as experience in project management
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Networked thinking and acting as well as enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• High customer orientation, organisational talent and enthusiasm for innovation
