The Global Shapers Community is a network of young change-makers in over 500 cities worldwide who are driving dialogue, action, and change on critical global challenges. To date, Global Shapers have delivered over 3,000 projects, including 500 new initiatives per year, reaching more than 2.2 million people, in collaboration with over 20 Forum Initiatives.
The Specialist will play a critical role in safeguarding the continuity of this work by supporting hubs, coordinating operations, and ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale collaborations. This role requires a highly organized, collaborative, and service-oriented professional who can sustain efficient processes, strengthen hub operations, and provide reliable support to youth-led initiatives and young changemakers worldwide.
Reporting Lines & Interactions
The Specialist will report to the Head of the Global Shapers Community and work closely with the core team, other Foundations teams, and Forum Centres. The role will involve frequent engagement with Global Shapers, supporting hub operations and addressing community needs efficiently.
Main Responsibilities
1. Community Management

Support strategies to sustain a thriving network of hubs across a designated region.

Provide day-to-day operational support to hubs, addressing queries and requests.

Manage digital platforms and processes to improve efficiency and hub experience.

Ensure compliance with community governance and membership standards.

Coordinate annual processes such as hub reviews and membership transitions.

Represent the Global Shapers Community at select convenings to ensure visibility.
2. Initiatives and Coordination

Facilitate connections across hubs to encourage peer learning and collaboration.

Manage the continuity of flagship initiatives in collaboration with Forum Centres.

Provide hubs with guidance, toolkits and resources to scale initiatives locally.

Monitor and evaluate initiative outcomes, capturing impact stories for amplification.

Support key lifecycle processes, including annual reviews and project approvals.

Coordinate with internal colleagues to align initiative timelines and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., international relations, public policy, business administration, education) preferred.

3–5 years of experience in programme or community operations, membership services, or project management.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Experience working in multicultural, international settings with diverse stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage multiple requests and priorities efficiently.

Familiarity with digital platforms for community management and engagement.

Fluency in English required; additional languages an asset.
