The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. The police air support of the Zurich Cantonal Police is provided by the Air Support Service, a service of the Operations Department in the Security Police, based at the Dübendorf military airfield. The flight operations with the police helicopter will likely continue in cooperation until mid-2028. At the same time, the diverse work areas in the field of drones are to be further developed. Tasks
- Leading the service in personnel, professional, and administrative matters
- Coordinating the operational readiness of the police air support
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements of the deployed resources
- Administrative management of the police helicopter flight operations in cooperation
- Managing a cost center with budget responsibility
- Ensuring and coordinating the necessary training and further education of employees
- Conceptual further development of the drone competence center
Profile
- Federal diploma as a police officer or certificate with several years of professional and leadership experience
- Swiss citizenship
- Experience with project and concept work
- Knowledge in aviation is an advantage
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Innovative strength and openness
- Flair for pragmatic approaches
- Editorial skills as well as convincing presentation competence
- Interest in acquiring or further developing expertise
- Foreign language skills, especially English, are an advantage
