Job Description
To strengthen the current team, we are looking for a kitchen workshop manager for a fixed term of three months.
As the kitchen workshop manager at La Tuilière prison, you will reinforce the existing team and support the female inmates in their daily work. You will pass on your professional knowledge to them, enabling them to develop new skills and thus contribute to their reintegration.
Through your commitment, you contribute to the protection of the population by ensuring the supervision and monitoring of the inmates. You always act in accordance with our values: "Loyalty, Solidarity, Credibility".
Responsibilities
Train and supervise inmates in kitchen workshop activities to help them acquire new social and professional skills.
Ensure the preparation of two meal services for inmates and staff while guaranteeing hygiene and safety standards as well as the maintenance and proper functioning of equipment.
Ensure the safety and supervision of inmates working in the kitchen, maintaining discipline.
Prepare behaviour and progress reports on the supervised individuals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various sectors of the establishment (social, security, professional, etc.) to ensure appropriate care for the inmates.
Fixed-term employment contract of 3 months, possibly renewable.

Qualifications
Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as cook, baker, pastry chef or other equivalent qualification
Holder of the federal detention officer certificate or willing to obtain it
Strong interest in caring for female inmates
Ability to manage teams
Comfortable with interpersonal contact, empathy, and communication and negotiation skills
Good mental and physical aptitude to handle sometimes difficult situations or conflicts while maintaining appropriate professional distance
Ability to manage stress
Observational, analytical and synthesising skills
Proficiency with common computer tools
Our employment conditions require you to be Swiss or hold a C permit, free from any debt enforcement order (an extract from the Debt Collection Office must be presented during the process), and have a clean criminal record. There is a right to consult the criminal record in accordance with the Federal Law on the Criminal Record by the hiring authority for this position.
