Key Responsibilities:

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Manage general ledger activities, including payroll, pensions, expenses, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.

Oversee and review work completed by offshore teams, ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards.

Assist in preparing tax returns (CIT, VAT, etc.) and ensure accurate filings within regulatory deadlines.

Analyze financial data to provide insights for variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Prepare materials for regulatory and internal reporting, including board and committee presentations.

Support external and internal audits, maintaining high-quality documentation and governance.
Qualifications:

Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant, or equivalent experience in accounting or audit.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a financial institution, preferably within an international group.

Strong understanding of depositary banking operations, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Experience with general ledger systems (Oracle or similar preferred).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and deadlines.

Excellent communication skills in English and German.

Comfortable overseeing processes handled by offshore teams.
