Legal Auditorate in Child Protection 80 - 100%
The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counseling. It carries out the various counseling and support services centrally and decentrally at various locations in the canton of Zurich. The Regional Legal Service takes over the legal representation of children and adolescents in child protection and ensures internal and external legal advice.
To strengthen the Regional Legal Service in Winterthur, we are looking for an auditor with a workload of 80-100% starting April 1, 2026, or by arrangement. The position is limited to 1 year.
Your area of responsibility:
- Advising unmarried parents on maintenance and custody issues
- Legal advice to internal specialist departments and clients (children, adolescents, and their parents), especially in areas such as paternity, maintenance, and custody
- Drafting applications and legal documents to child protection authorities and in court proceedings
- If suitable and interested: opportunity for independent representation of children's interests before courts or criminal prosecution authorities
Your profile:
- Completed legal education (Licentiate or Master of Law)
- Interest in family and child law as well as civil and criminal procedural law
- Initial professional experience in the legal field is an advantage
- Very good German skills, additional languages are an advantage
- Team player, independent, and quick to grasp new topics
- Empathetic and motivated to represent the interests of children and families
