Particularity
The newly created supply chain management group (Prof. Nathan Kunz) within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Fribourg invites interested individuals to apply for a PhD position focused on humanitarian and/or sustainable supply chain management. The position is funded for a maximum duration of 5 years and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact research.

Field of activity
The selected candidate will conduct rigorous and practice-oriented research in the field of humanitarian and/or sustainable supply chain management, using quantitative and qualitative methods. They will contribute to ongoing and newly developed research projects, publish their results in high-quality academic journals, and work towards obtaining their PhD. Specific research topics will be defined collaboratively, taking into account the interests and skills of the selected candidate, as well as alignment with the group's research priorities.
Furthermore, the PhD student will participate in teaching activities at the bachelor and master levels, including leading exercise sessions, supervising student projects, and assisting with administrative tasks.
Requirements
Master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, management, international business, computer science, or a closely related field
Strong motivation and aptitude for empirical research in collaboration with industry partners
Fluency in French and English (spoken and written), other languages are an asset
Authorization to work in Switzerland
