About the job
CONTACT, Foundation for Addiction Support, offers services in the field of harm reduction. Its goal is to reduce the risks and negative consequences of substance use for affected individuals and society. CONTACT is guided by the Four-Pillar Model of Swiss addiction policy.
From May 1, 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a
Employee SPUT (Syringe Exchange) at CONTACT Bern Contact Point, 30%
The syringe exchange (SPUT) is an offer of the CONTACT Bern Contact Point and is aimed at people who consume substances. It ensures the distribution of sterile injection materials and the sale of various materials for safe, hygienic consumption.
Your tasks are:
- Syringe exchange as well as sale of hygienic consumption aids
- Maintenance of syringe vending machines in the city of Bern
- Collaboration at the alcohol-free bar in the cafeteria of the CONTACT Bern Contact Point
- Short conversations, information on admission criteria as well as networking offers
- Irregular work in a shift system, including evenings and weekends
You bring / You are:
- No specific training required
- Experience in the addiction field is desired
- Enjoy contact with people
- Resilient, independent, flexible and team player
- Good German skills, knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage
