Public Prosecutor's Office
The Public Prosecutor's Office is an independent investigative, sanctioning, and prosecuting authority for the canton of Thurgau. It enforces the state's criminal claims and represents the state before the coercive measures court, the district courts, the higher court, and the federal court. It leads investigations and criminal inquiries, issues decisions and orders in single-judge competence, and represents the prosecutions before the criminal courts.
For the Public Prosecutor's Office in Kreuzlingen, we are looking for an assistant as of January 1, 2026 or by agreement
Your tasks
- After an initial training phase, largely independent management of smaller criminal investigations, with support if needed
- Conducting interrogations
- Issuing penal orders, non-prosecution, dismissal, and suspension orders
- Conducting objection procedures
- Representing prosecutions before the district court, if necessary accompanied by an experienced public prosecutor as a mentor
- Performing on-call duty accompanied by a mentor
Your profile
- Completed law degree
- Bar admission is desirable but not required
- Practical experience in criminal prosecution through internship at a public prosecutor's office and preferably additionally at a court
- Knowledge of criminal and criminal procedure law
- Impeccable reputation
- Driver's license category B
- Swiss citizenship
