Introduction
The municipal police of Adliswil – Langnau am Albis serves around 28,000 residents in Adliswil and Langnau a. A. and is located in an attractive and exciting operational area between the big city and nature. Our responsibility, in cooperation with the surrounding municipalities, often extends to the entire Horgen district and enables operations along Lake Zurich and in the Sihl Valley. A modern fleet of vehicles including several e-bikes is available to us. We train our own police trainee at the ZHPS and operate a new police station together with the cantonal police.

These are your tasks
The municipal police ensure the maintenance or restoration of public peace, order, and safety and thus contribute to the sense of security and quality of life of the residents of the two municipalities. During our patrols, we are subordinated to the operations center of the cantonal police and take over the initial intervention in all deployment cases and assistance. In the spirit of community policing, we focus on trust-based contact with the population, maintain targeted public relations, and place importance on preventive work.
As head of the police Adliswil – Langnau am Albis, you lead a team of eleven police positions and additional civilian resources for support together with your two subordinate deputies and group leaders. You promote personnel and organizational development, are responsible for cost-effectiveness and budget compliance, and enhance the reputation of the corps in daily work.
What we expect from you
For this challenge, you bring a federal specialist certificate as a police officer, pronounced leadership qualities, leadership training, and corresponding professional experience. You act customer-oriented, pragmatic, innovative, and possess strength in networking with various stakeholders. You communicate skillfully, transparently, and clearly even in demanding leadership situations. Further requirements are excellent ICT skills (including POLIS), fluency in oral and written expression, and residence near Adliswil.
