Reference: CLS/RH/2026.782 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 100% / Hours: Monday to Sunday with several shifts, earliest 7:00 am and latest 7:00 pm + night shifts 7:00 pm-7:00 am + weekend on-call from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")
Why do we need you?
To strengthen our operating theatre team, we are looking for a Specialised Technical Assistant in the Operating Theatre to contribute to patient safety and the smooth running of interventions.
What will you be expected to do?
- Participate in welcoming, comforting, installing and ensuring the safety of patients within the operating theatres
- Participate in applying hygiene and asepsis rules during the pre-, peri- and postoperative periods
- Collaborate in the conduct of surgical or interventional medical procedures as a circulating assistant
- Handle surgical and radiological equipment during surgical procedures
Who will you work with?
You will join a multidisciplinary team of about 60 staff, including 13 specialised technical assistants in the operating theatre. In this cutting-edge technical environment, each professional actively contributes to the smooth running of interventions. Collaboration, rigour and team spirit are at the heart of patient care.
What do we expect from you?
Essentials:
- Hold a certificate as a Specialised Technical Assistant in the Operating Theatre (STOT)
- Proven successful experience in the operating theatre
- Strict mastery of asepsis, hygiene and safety rules in the operating theatre
- Effective collaboration with the entire operating theatre team (surgeons, anaesthetists, instrument technicians, theatre assistants)
- Clear, structured and context-appropriate communication in the operating environment
- Remain calm and reliable in critical situations
- Assume responsibilities with professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
- Integrate quickly into a team with a strong capacity for adaptation
