About the job
We are looking for a flexible and motivated cook to start immediately or by arrangement.
The restaurant «Dübi Ice» is located near the ice rink in Dübendorf and is a popular sports and excursion destination for cyclists and walkers.
The serviced restaurant area has 50 seats and a terrace with 76 seats with a direct view of the Glatt river and the children's playground. The self-service area has 70 seats and a terrace with 60 seats with a direct view of the outdoor ice rink and the Glatt.
In addition, the sports facility has an 18-hole mini golf course.
The restaurant offers a market-fresh à la Carte kitchen, accompanied by seasonal specialties, fine lunch menus, and a take-away offer that provides quick and uncomplicated catering.
Job Description
You enjoy cooking with fresh products, are skilled in menu and à la Carte cooking, and like to work independently in a small team.
You work with breaks (no room hour) 2 days alone and 3 days with the head chef.
Our kitchen is open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 to 20:00 (in exceptional cases until 21:00) and on Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00/19:00.
- Production and preparation of fresh dishes / à la Carte
- Support and representation of the head chef
- Compliance with and monitoring of hygiene and occupational safety regulations
- Assistance with menu planning and ordering
- Completion of cleaning tasks in the kitchen and storage
Requirements
After your apprenticeship, you have already gained several years of experience (experience as a sole cook is an advantage) and are now looking for a new, exciting challenge.
- Completed training as a cook EFZ
- Experience in à la Carte cooking
- Reliable, independent, speedy, and efficient working style
- Flexible and resilient personality with a neat appearance and good manners
- Good German skills in spoken and written form
