Officer in charge of climate protection and innovation

For April 1, 2026, or by agreement, to strengthen our team we are looking for an officer in charge of climate protection and innovation.
Tasks
- As the responsible officer, you are co-responsible for implementing the new Graubünden climate and innovation law (LGCI).
- Plans and publishes calls for proposals for promotion cases that fall within the scope of the LGCI.
- Evaluates incoming promotion applications (projects) and prepares basic documents and promotion guidelines.
- Participates in a supporting role where such projects fall under the responsibility of other services.
- Additionally, co-responsible for monitoring effects and for the climate and innovation program (multi-year planning).
- Plans and organizes meetings between various bodies and prepares the content of discussions.
- At the same time, collaborates on the implementation and development of the cantonal climate strategy as well as the organization of the internal climate forum held annually within the administration.
- Coordinates reporting activities to the Confederation according to articles 15 and 16 of the CO2 ordinance and advises specialized services and internal and external offices on specific climate-related issues.
- Contributes knowledge within interdisciplinary cantonal and national working groups, maintains exchanges with various interest groups.
What we expect from you
- University or university of applied sciences degree with a scientific focus.
- Experience in project evaluation and familiarity with numbers and economic issues.
- Experience in administration and industry, mainly in large industry and the energy and process engineering sectors, as well as experience with calls for proposals is an advantage.
- Used to contact with users and your approach to various interest groups is characterized by respect.
- Can assert yourself and maintain a calm and prudent attitude in conflict situations.
- A person with strong organizational and communication skills, initiative, and entrepreneurial mindset, distinguished by high availability.
- Insightful, flexible, and willing to acquire knowledge in new areas.
- Excellent oral and written command of the German language is assumed to perform the assigned tasks; knowledge of another cantonal language (Italian or Romansh) as well as English is an advantage.
