About 450 employees manufacture reinforcing steel from scrap steel in Gerlafingen. Stahl Gerlafingen AG is the largest recycling company in Switzerland. The sales markets for the products are in Switzerland and the European Union.

Tasks/Responsibilities

• Carrying out repair and maintenance work on production equipment
  
• New installation and commissioning as well as integrating existing systems into new process flows including documentation
  
• Ensuring the availability of machines, equipment, and infrastructure
  
• Performing overhaul work and manufacturing new fixtures and spare parts

Skills

• Professional qualification as a mechanic or equivalent, e.g. apparatus builder, locksmith, welder, hydraulics specialist, as well as agricultural machinery mechanic
  
• Knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, assembly and welding technology
  
• Professional experience in maintenance
