As Head of Industry Business Consulting (w/m/x) – Insurance, you know the trends and challenges of our customers in this sector and discuss specific solution and optimization approaches with them based on your comprehensive industry expertise.

In doing so, you can confidently navigate current professional issues and translate for our customers how our technology expertise supports them in their specific solution scenarios.

You position us as a trusted advisor to customers at the management level and generate leads, opportunities, and project orders, which you accompany in project implementation.

You proactively drive customer interactions forward in the team together with our Client Partners, sales, business development teams, and consulting teams in the insurance industry.

Part of this teamwork is the joint development of go-to-market strategies, value propositions, competitive offerings to develop targeted solutions for individual customer situations.

As the person responsible for the insurance industry within the Business Consulting delivery unit, you support the project execution of consulting projects for our customers in this sector and integrate employees from the Business Consulting team into larger cross-functional transformation initiatives. In doing so, you set impulses in the conception of overarching delivery models and orchestrate scaling of delivery capability according to market needs.

To meet our quality standards in the implementation of consulting topics, you use your industry knowledge as a subject matter expert and enable colleagues through the necessary knowledge transfer. Employees bring professional understanding into projects as business consultants, business analysts, subject matter experts, or project managers.

Your mission:

• You are the spearhead for us when it comes to advising our customers in the insurance sector on their transformational challenges from a professional perspective and independently and in a team placing consulting topics commercially. In doing so, you support both across business development and sales processes and are responsible for the implementation quality of consulting projects.
• You shape an insurance consulting team that can advise our customers on trends and their challenges with solutions. As NTT DATA, we have a strong implementation focus to achieve tangible results with our customers.
• You act as a thought leader in the insurance industry and set impulses for changes as well as solution approaches and concepts. At NTT DATA, you can draw on our great innovation competence of over 3,500 R&D employees as well as the know-how of a global insurance community and shape these for the concrete needs of our customers in the region.
• In your role as a thought leader, you represent NTT DATA in this field at trade fairs and events, as an expert in publications or on social media.
• You are the sparring partner for our technology portfolios when it comes to integrating our competencies customer-appropriately and building up and expanding the right delivery competencies.
• You actively orchestrate and collaborate with various internal teams in a matrix organization (e.g., sales, delivery, partner management, CoEs, etc.) and maintain close contact and exchange with your key stakeholders in the insurance sector.
• You lead a team of consultants who have deep competence in the insurance industry. In addition to planning, developing, and managing this team, you are also responsible for demand-oriented growth.

Your skillset:

• You are a versatile, experienced industry expert (w/m/x) with a completed degree (technical / business administration) or comparable qualification with at least 7 years of professional experience in (IT) consulting with a focus on the insurance industry or directly in companies in the sector
• You demonstrably have a strong sales affinity and have experience in solutioning for offers as well as leading offer teams with varying complex delivery scenarios.

Your pronounced will to win deals, your pronounced ability to recognize and explain customer added values and differentiators in tenders and offers help you.

• You have a deep understanding of industry-specific trends and markets in the insurance industry as well as sound knowledge of corresponding business models and processes in this sector
• You have already accompanied consulting and transformation projects

in the insurance industry in the past. Your experience in analysis, strategy, concept development, implementation, project management, etc. is complemented by a technological basic understanding and ideally your own customer network in this sector.

• You bring solid experience in consulting and conception including relevant methodologies (consultative selling, customer value co-creation, problem definition, design thinking, value proposition design, value-based consulting, etc.)
• Due to your structured and proactive working style, you can quickly familiarize yourself with new consulting contexts – across various value creation topics (customer experience, customer relationship management, supply chain management, product lifecycle management, etc.) and transformation methods (design thinking, change management, etc.)
• You bring pronounced oral and written communication skills as well as presentation competence, can clearly structure information and convince and inspire your counterpart.
• You have fluent German and English skills in spoken and written form
