The Area-Gastro (Area-G) is an initiative of the student body of HSG (SHSG) and is responsible for operating student bars around the university campus. The initiative includes [ad]hoc, MeetingPoint, and the Square Bar. With these three diverse locations, Area-G is an integral part of the university campus culture.
Your tasks
Are you well organized, stress-resistant, and eager to become part of an outstanding bar team? The tasks of a bartender in Area G include in particular:
- Preparation and serving of drinks in Area G
- Independent assurance of operational business including accepting short-term reservations and receiving drink deliveries
- Compliance with cleaning and order duties at the Area-G locations
- Participation in the monthly "All-hands" meetings
- Compliance with the gastronomic due diligence of Area-G; (In case of irregularities, a report must be made directly to the site manager)
- Conducting qualified sales talks
Your profile
- Bachelor or Master student at the University of St. Gallen
- Minimum employment duration: 2 semesters
- Proactive, independent, and reliable working style in gastronomic activities
- Business fluent language skills in German and English
- Workload: min. 8 hours per week
Desired criteria:
- Bartending (trainings and internal courses are offered)
