The Zäziwil Region School is a modern and future-oriented educational institution that values an inspiring and supportive learning environment. Our goal is to accompany students individually on their educational journey and to develop them into responsible, self-confident, and creative personalities. Zäziwil is a picturesque municipality in the Emmental region. The municipality, with about 1,600 inhabitants, is part of the Bern-Mittelland administrative district and is located about 20 kilometers east of Bern.
The Zäziwil Region School still consists of 3 locations.
The kindergarten is located at Zelgweg 2, grades 1 to 6 are taught at Bahnhofstrasse 5, and the lower secondary level has its own school building at Lochmattstrasse 93 in Oberhünigen until the end of 2025. A new school building is currently being constructed at Bahnhofstrasse 7, which will be ready for occupancy by the 1st/2nd grade and the lower secondary level by the end of 2025.
At the Zäziwil Region School, about 200 school-age children are taught in 10 classes. In the lower secondary level, which has been operating under the permeable model 4 MOSAIK since summer 2023, a new class will be opened starting in the 2025/26 school year.

Responsibilities
You will take over the teaching on Monday mornings (4 lessons) and Thursday mornings (4 lessons) for grades 1 to 4 starting immediately.
You will enrich our existing MR team with your professional competence and personal strength.
With passion, creativity, and commitment, you will design the lessons in a way that excites, motivates, and sustainably promotes the learners.
You will accompany and support your students in their daily school life with empathy and promote their social skills.
You will work closely with the teaching staff, parents, and other specialists to ensure a holistic support for the students.
You will take responsibility for school projects and contribute to the further development of the school.
Requirements
You are a trained and motivated specialist in special education with heart and mind.
Ideally, you already have experience in special education work and bring your expertise with commitment and empathy. As a dedicated and caring personality, you accompany students with sensitivity and conviction. The individual support of each child is close to your heart. You treat learners and their families with respect, appreciation, and openness. Teamwork is a matter of course for you. You actively contribute to a collegial school climate and value exchange within the team as well as independent work. You are open to new pedagogical paths. Reflection and further development are part of your professional life – and you enrich school life with your own ideas and experiences.
