Are you passionate about Zug media and history – and eager to actively shape the Zug collection with joy and initiative? With expertise and commitment, drive forward the collection, indexing, and mediation of Zug periodicals and media – that’s what we are looking for at the Zug Library!
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated person starting January 1, 2026 as

Tasks
- Take over the specialist department for Zug periodicals
- Independently acquire, index, and process analog and digital Zug media and periodicals
- Archive and conserve Zug media and coordinate bookbinding orders
- Index Zug publications in the library catalog and archive directory
- Actively procure and manage archive material
- Support customers and help design projects, events, tours, and training related to the Zug collection and documentation
Expectations
- A basic education as an information and documentation specialist EFZ or further education in information science (FH)
- You have professional experience – preferably in the fields of library and documentation
- You are interested in the canton of Zug, its history, culture, and current topics
- You have excellent German skills as well as solid IT user knowledge
- You are characterized by team orientation, a structured and precise way of working, and a high service orientation
