YOUR TASKS
You lead the clinic in professional, clinical, and personnel terms, according to economic, appropriate, and scientifically based principles. Interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration is important to you. As a member of the hospital management- You lead the specialists in internal medicine and represent them to the hospital management. In doing so, you take into account the overarching goals of the entire hospital.
- You are responsible for the design, establishment, development, and positioning of the various disciplines in the medical field and work closely with the other clinics and specialist departments.
- Together with the other members of the hospital management, you contribute significantly to ensuring that the strategic fields of action are consistently addressed. This includes close cooperation with the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital.
- You lead and position the clinic for internal medicine as a certified, innovative training center and partner for referring physicians from partner hospitals.
- You promote and develop qualified specialists based on current evidence and ensure the qualitative and quantitative service offerings according to the service mandate.
- You ensure an optimal organizational structure and workflow as well as a smooth flow of information. You also continuously examine opportunities for optimization.
- The creation and adherence to budgets (personnel, revenues, investments) also fall within your area of responsibility.
- You maintain cross-departmental collaboration with other professional groups (other medical areas, nursing, therapies, etc.) and promote the selection and operational-organizational integration of the attending and consulting physicians working with us.
- You promote interdisciplinary collaboration and training across specialties. You also maintain ongoing training for your subordinates and yourself according to the regulations of professional societies to maintain the dignities in internal medicine.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
As a team player, you bring the following assets, among others:- You have a specialist degree in internal medicine, possibly even with a second specialist title, and can demonstrate many years of experience as a senior physician or leading physician at a larger clinic.
- Business management issues are part of your self-understanding. In this context, solid knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system is an advantage.
- You are an experienced leader who not only convinces with your leadership skills but also with your pronounced team orientation, which enables you to promote the potential of each individual employee and motivate the entire team to achieve peak performance.
