The research unit Forest Resources and Forest Management records and analyzes changes in the landscape and forest and is looking for a recurring annually for 8 to 9 months from March 2026 in the Scientific Service LFI group a
The research group conducts fieldwork for the 5th National Forest Inventory (LFI5) from March/April to November, which provides important foundations for politics, forestry practice, and research. On around 300 sample plots, you annually record the condition of the forest throughout Switzerland in a two-person team.
You have a degree in Switzerland as a forest technician HF or forest engineer as well as very good language skills in German and a second national language. Experience in sampling is an advantage. You are responsible, organized, and flexible. You work reliably and precisely and move confidently in difficult terrain. Driving license category B is required.
