Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospitals worldwide according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The CHUV Anti-Doping Analysis Laboratory's mission is to detect doping substances in urine and blood matrices to fight doping in sports. Within its laboratory, teams search for more than 500 doping substances in samples, complying with ISO 17025 standards.
Working here means learning scientific rigor in a cutting-edge technological environment where every result contributes to care safety.
Mission
- You perform the extraction and preparation of urine samples using various processes (SPE, LLE, derivatization, etc.)
- You learn to master advanced analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, and GC-MS-MS
- You participate in the development and validation of new analytical methods
- You ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the laboratory and its equipment
- You learn to work according to ISO 17025 standards and its quality system.

Training Path:
- This training is conducted in partnership with EPIC in Monthey:
- 18 months of training at EPIC to learn the scientific and technical basics of the profession
- Then 18 months of practical internship at the Anti-Doping Analysis Laboratory, with one professional course day per week in Monthey.
