School Social Work Vocational School 80%About 2500 learners from craft-technical professional fields such as automotive, construction, electrical, wood, gardening, and facility maintenance learn with us how to tackle, build, repair, and design. We accompany them on their path to their professional future. Many of our classes are strongly male-dominated, while young people from a wide variety of companies and industries meet. Our school is characterized by short distances, open doors, and space for new ideas.
As reinforcement for our team, we are looking for one to two school social work professionals with a total workload of 80-100% starting July 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your tasks
As a school social work professional, you support our learners with personal, professional, and social challenges. You work closely and confidentially with teachers and school management and contribute your perspective when situations in everyday school life become challenging. You are also present in the classroom, conduct individual counseling sessions, and implement prevention projects. Together with the faculty and school management, you further develop our support services and bring in your ideas. In addition, you facilitate communication between the school, training companies, and parents and maintain a functioning network with external specialist agencies.
Your profile
A bachelor's degree in social work is a prerequisite for this position. Ideally, further training in school social work or a comparable qualification complements your profile. You have professional experience in child and youth welfare and approach adolescents and young adults with interest, clarity, and humor. Independent work suits you, and you navigate confidently within school structures. You are familiar with the interfaces of Swiss vocational education. You enjoy being present in everyday school life, can adapt your working hours to school needs, and bring courage for development work.
