Electricity supply forms the backbone of our society. Do you want to actively shape the energy future of Switzerland? As part of the country’s largest energy producer, you will shape the development and implementation of public affairs activities at the cantonal and regional levels, thus making an important contribution to a secure and sustainable energy supply in Switzerland.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support the establishment and planning of systematic stakeholder management. In your regional area of responsibility, you establish yourself as the main contact person for Axpo vis-à-vis politics, administration, and associations.
- Monitor cantonal political developments, place them in the national energy policy context, work with relevant internal departments to develop positions, analyze trends, and provide well-founded recommendations for action in line with the company strategy.
- Organize events such as parliamentary events, power plant tours, and public information events to promote dialogue with relevant stakeholders and develop solutions together. In doing so, you work closely with the person responsible for external communication to ensure a coordinated external impact.
- Participate in regional political campaigns and apply your campaigning skills.
Profile and Requirements:
- You have at least 3 years of professional experience in public affairs or a comparable environment
- You are very familiar with national and cantonal political processes. You know about energy policy and understand how to act successfully in the political environment.
- With flexibility, reliability, and team spirit, you approach stakeholders at all levels openly and effectively. You communicate complex issues clearly and appropriately for the target group.
- You identify with the values and goals of Axpo and are ready to make a decisive contribution to the company’s success.
- Ideally, you have a personal network in politics, administration, and associations in Northwestern or Northeastern Switzerland, which you maintain and continuously expand.
- You have a university degree in political science, law, communication science, economics, or a related field.
- You speak fluent German and English. Good knowledge of French is an advantage.

The Public Affairs team at Axpo works on central energy policy issues and actively shapes the country’s energy future. In an open and dynamic atmosphere, you have the opportunity to contribute your expertise, take on responsibility, develop innovative solutions, and represent the company externally. There is close cooperation with Axpo’s external communication to strategically link public affairs and communication.
