Financial Controller (m/f/d) 100%DigiSol, as the competence center of the JI Directorate, shapes the digital future of the Canton of Zurich. We are responsible for specialist applications, special infrastructures, digital solutions, and IT services – in a partnership-oriented, customer-focused, and future-oriented manner. As bridge builders between the business, IT, and organization, we ensure that our customers can effectively and efficiently fulfill their tasks.
About the role
As a Financial Controller, you support the Digital Solutions department in the financial management of projects, procurements, and ongoing operations. You ensure transparency regarding budgets, cost developments, and financial risks and provide well-founded decision-making bases for executives and project managers. In close collaboration with internal interfaces, you participate in the budgeting and reporting process and accompany projects from a financial perspective throughout their entire lifecycle.
Your tasks
- Conduct financial and project controlling for projects, procurements, and ongoing operations
- Monitor financial developments including target-actual comparisons, variance analyses, and forecasts
- Participate in budgeting, financial and task planning, as well as interim and annual financial statements
- Prepare financial analyses, key figures, and management reports
- Support and advise project management and specialist departments on financial matters
- Early detection of financial risks and presentation of action options
- Coordinate and align with internal departments (Finance, Compliance, Directorate, Business Support)
- Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, processes, and deadlines
- Contribute to the further development of controlling instruments and processes
Your profile
- Completed bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a comparable field or equivalent further education (e.g., federal specialist certificate in finance and accounting).
- Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in project or investment environments
- Very good knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and financial analyses
- Analytical, structured, and independent working style
- Confident handling of ERP systems and very good Excel skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to prepare complex issues in an understandable way
- Reliable, service-oriented personality
- Interest in a dynamic environment with societal impact
